The Hidden Truth, Revealed
“For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed.” Gospel of Thomas, Logion 5.
Sown in the depths, The eternal seed of the Spirit Is concealed within, A treasure buried Waiting, Expecting to be found, Forgotten, Neglected, Even abandoned – The Way and the Truth Lost without trace.
Sailing so smoothly on the surface, Bewitched by glittering images, We can scarcely suspect What is hidden beneath, within, Until we are suddenly shipwrecked, So we sink and swirl Into these very depths Plunging into the unknown, Plumbing the mystery, Crashing starkly on rock bottom.
There the pearl of great price glints oh so faintly, A glimmer of hope In a sea of despair.
Only then Can we rise again from below To meet the light from above To behold the lamp of life, The face of God revealed As our own image and likeness. I Am lost yet found, Hidden yet revealed, Forgotten yet remembered.
The baptism of fire from above The baptism of water from below, Spirit and matter entwined, Darkness and light Dissolved and reconfigured, Being and becoming Transfigured, Flowing as one, The Way and the Truth In celestial embrace Together.
